Graduate School of Environmental, Life, Natural Science and Technology at Okayama University, to which Obayashi belongs, is looking for graduate students. We research in topological data analysis, especially persistent homology, which is a kind of applied mathematics. We welcome applications from students who are interested in the following topics.
- Research on data analysis methods using persistent homology
- Application of persistent homology to data analysis in materials science, etc.
- Of course, applications to other fields are welcome.
- Research on algorithms and software for persistent homology
- Research on the mathematical theory of topological data analysis
